If you're up for a 10-minute drive or bike ride, Springfield is Eugene's neighboring town. There's plenty of cool stuff there, too.
Matt Groening, the creator of The Simpsons, grew up in Oregon, and Springfield Oregon was the inspiration for The Simpson's hometown. There are a ton of Simpsons murals to spot (map).
Some other Springfield stuff:
PublicHouse is a cool bar in an old church
Springfield has a ton of antique shops: Trash n Treasures, The Crypt, Antique Peddlers, Time Travelers, The Vintage Industry, Little Shop of Hoarders
Springfield is also home to Jerry's, Kevin's favorite hardware store
